Agencija za mobilnost i programe EUErasmus+

From March 5, 2018 to March 16, 2018, in the second half of the implementation of KA2 Erasmus + project ECWORK - ECVET for work-based learning, Electromechanical School Varaždin, with its partners from the business sector; Mobilisis, Solvis and Vin-projekt will host students from Portugal.

The main idea and goal of the project is the application and transfer of ECVET methodology in the field of practical teaching of pupils and students at the international level, the recognition of ECVET points and the equalization of learning outcomes for practical teaching. It is the so-called "bottom up" approach.

The project involves two secondary vocational schools, Electromechanical School from Varaždin, Croatia, which is also the holder and project coordinator, Fora secondary technical school from Lousada, Portugal, adult education institution IIEK Delta from Athens, Greece, Intercollege Polytechnic from Nicosia, Cyprus, an adult education institution Fondo Formacion Euskladi SLL from Bilbao, Spain, and IDEK, a provider of counseling and education services in Piraeus, Greece.

So far, a number of intellectual achievements have been implemented in the project: the study of European qualifications in the field of electrical engineering / mechatronics, a manual for teachers in the field of practical part of education, a handbook for employers in the field of practical part and a manual for students for the practical part of their education.

From March 5, 2018 to March 16, 2018, a Pilot Practice will be conducted for students from Portugal in Electromechanical School Varaždin and in partner companies Mobilisis, Solvis and Vin-projekt. Students will work in school labs and be a part of the manufacturing process in companies and will produce devices from the field of automation, PLC programming and will be testing the complete finished products. ECVET points will be recognized in both educational systems.

Almost simultaneously (from March 12 to March 23, 2018), two students from Electromechanical School, from the mechatronics programme, will be doing the same kind of practice in Portugal, in Lousado.

It should be noted that other partners (Greece, Cyprus and Spain) will also be able to implement similar programs, but at level 5, which is intended for the first graduate level of vocational education or adult education.

The preparation of a commonly agreed program of practical work and transfer of points for all partners was realized in a five-day education from the ECVET methodology in Greece in March 2017.

After the conducted practice and the evaluation of the whole process, we will agree on the third transnational meeting to further on, work on remaining intellectual results. At the end of the project, based on the prepared manuals for teachers, employers and students, our students and schools (as well as other potential EU users) will have a model of transfer and recognition of practical teaching that is realized abroad.

The final conference of the project will be held in September 2018 in Varaždin, Croatia. In addition, the project will be presented at an international conference dedicated to the ECVET methodology.
